Why cutting corners in brand development won't cut it.


In this fast-paced world we live in, standing out from the crowd and creating a lasting impact on your audience is more important that ever. This is where a well-crafted brand strategy is critical, serving as the cornerstone for your company's identity and foundation. Brand strategy is not a logo, a tag line or a color pallet. Your Brand Strategy is the game plan for sharing what people believe about your organization. At the heart lies the foundational elements of Purpose, Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Brand Story. In this blog, we'll delve into the significance of these elements and how they collectively contribute to building a strong brand.




Having had the pleasure to work on a number of brands throughout my career, when an intentional brand foundation was crafted, the overall business strategy was always more successful. Recently, I created a new company, CIX Solutions, and have used those brand elements as examples throughout this bog. Let's get learning!

CIX Solutions Brand Story: CIX Solutions, pronounced “six”, is the unification of connected, intentional and experiential. These words represent the principle of true, meaningful relationships. In order to experience growth, authentic relationships must exist. The word play of “six” has a significant meaning in the foundation of CIX, representing “the sixth man” in basketball. This person/role represents the first substitute in the game and is impactful because they are relied on by the team to 1) Bring new energy to make an impact, 2) Institute a spark of mental toughness at a critical point in time, and 3) Provide consistency in leadership and effort.
